Technofest 2025: Driving Innovation for a Resilient PNG
Remington Technology was pleased to support Technofest 2025 at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNGUoT), an event that brings students together to design real solutions for a sustainable future.
Held on September 6th under the theme “Sustainability for a Resilient PNG”, the festival highlighted projects tied to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Students showed not just creativity, but the drive and skills to turn ideas into impact.
A highlight of the day was Team Green Gold from the School of Mining and Mineral Process Engineering, who took out Best Presenting Team Overall with their project to repurpose betelnut husk waste into useful products. Their prize, a Brother multifunctional printer, sponsored by Remington Technology.
We acknowledge the efforts of all participating teams, the SRS Events Team, and event partners for making Technofest a success. As our GM Marketing Esther Gegelagi said: “It’s always a privilege to back initiatives that inspire innovation, learning, and the next generation of leaders in technology.”
Remington Technology looks forward to continuing its support for young innovators and helping drive digital transformation in PNG.
